If you ever find yourself wandering around a mall and unsure where to eat, Solaria is almost always a safe choice. This restaurant chain is well-known for its wide variety of menu options, affordable prices, and fairly consistent taste across locations.
Earlier today, we decided to have lunch together at Solaria in Kota Kasablanka. As usual, the place was not too busy, making it comfortable enough for a relaxed meal. The ambiance is simple, not particularly fancy, but clean and perfect for dining with friends or family. It’s usually much more crowded on weekends, though, so coming on a weekday felt like the right choice for a calmer and more enjoyable experience.
What We Ordered
Nasi Goreng Sapi Cabe Ijo

This dish stood out right away. The fried rice has a distinctive aroma of green chilies, offering a savory flavor with a mild kick of spice. The beef slices were tender and generously portioned, making each bite satisfying.
Nasi Sapi Lada Hitam

This one delivered a stronger punch of flavor. The black pepper sauce was bold, aromatic, and slightly spicy, making it the most intense of the three dishes. The beef was juicy and paired perfectly with the sauce and rice.
Nasi Bistik Sapi Mentega

The butter beef steak rice was rich and comforting. The sauce had a creamy, slightly sweet flavor that coated the tender beef nicely. It’s a good option for those who prefer milder, less spicy dishes with a smooth texture.
Overall Experience
Each dish brought something different to the table:
- Nasi Goreng Sapi Cabe Ijo: fresh and slightly spicy
- Nasi Sapi Lada Hitam: bold and savory
- Nasi Bistik Sapi Mentega: creamy and mild
The portions were generous, making the meal quite filling—perfect for lunch. Service at Solaria was fairly standard. It wasn’t particularly fast, especially during peak hours, but still reasonable. Thankfully, the food met expectations.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Solaria remains a practical and reliable dining option. With its diverse menu, consistent flavors, and affordable prices, it caters well to different tastes and occasions.
What made this visit more enjoyable was the chance to try several dishes at once and share them together. Each menu offered a distinct flavor profile, from bold and savory to creamy and mild, making the overall experience more interesting.
If you’re looking for a simple, no-fuss place to eat in the mall that still delivers satisfying meals without breaking the bank, Solaria is definitely worth considering.
