Sometimes, the conversations that stay with us the longest aren’t necessarily the ones that happened—they’re the ones that reflect the future we quietly hope for.

In my mind, it started with a simple message.

“I’ve been thinking a lot about our future together.”

At first, I smiled. It sounded like one of those conversations people imagine but rarely say out loud. Then came the words that made my heart pause.

“If everything goes well… I’d like to propose next month.”

For a moment, I didn’t know what to say.

Not because I had an answer, but because I had never imagined hearing something so intentional. There was no grand gesture, no dramatic speech—just calm certainty about wanting to build a life together.

Instead of rushing for an answer, I imagined replying with honesty.

“I need some time to think and make istikharah.”

And somehow, the response I hoped for wasn’t pressure or disappointment.

“Take your time. I’ll pray too.”

That sentence stayed with me.

It reminded me that the kind of love I hope for isn’t built on urgency. It’s built on patience, trust, and the willingness to seek what is right together.

Maybe that’s what manifestation really means.

Not pretending something has already happened.

Not trying to force the future into existence.

But becoming the kind of person who is emotionally, spiritually, and mentally ready when the right person finally arrives.

Whether this exact conversation ever happens is something only Allah knows.

But if it does, I hope it sounds less like a fairytale and more like two people choosing each other with sincerity, kindness, and faith.

Until then, I’ll keep preparing myself—not just for marriage, but for the responsibility, growth, and companionship that come with it.

Because perhaps the future we’re praying for begins with the person we’re becoming today.
