One of the things I enjoy most about visiting M Bloc Space Jakarta is discovering new food. There’s always something interesting to try, from unique snacks to delicious desserts. This time, my friend and I decided to try Mochilatto, a brand known for its Japanese mochi ice cream
It was our first time trying Japanese mochi ice cream, so we were both excited and curious to see what it would taste like. The display looked incredibly tempting, with its soft, powder-coated mochi wrapped around creamy ice cream.
We decided to order different flavors so we could taste each other’s choices. My friend picked Mango, while I chose Dark Chocolate because I’m not really a fan of overly sweet desserts. We both went with the same topping—crispy almond slices—which turned out to be the perfect finishing touch.
From the very first bite, we were pleasantly surprised. The mochi was soft, chewy, and slightly stretchy, while the ice cream inside was smooth, rich, and creamy. We could immediately understand why mochi ice cream has become so popular. The combination of the chewy mochi and the cold, creamy ice cream created a unique texture that was both fun and delicious.
My favorite was definitely the Dark Chocolate flavor. It wasn’t overly sweet, which suited my taste perfectly. The chocolate flavor was rich and well-balanced, and the toasted almond slices added a delightful crunch in every bite.
I also got to try my friend’s Mango flavor. It was refreshing, fruity, and creamy at the same time, making it a great choice for anyone who enjoys lighter and sweeter desserts.
Overall, it was a wonderful first experience for both of us. Sometimes trying something new turns into a pleasant surprise, and Mochilatto definitely exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting M Bloc Space Jakarta and looking for a unique dessert, we’d definitely recommend giving Mochilatto a try.
