Tonight, I realized that what has been exhausting me is not the lack of answers.
It is the constant search for them.
The checking.
The wondering.
The waiting.
The quiet hope that perhaps today will be the day everything becomes clear.
For a while, I thought what I needed was certainty.
A clear answer.
A clear direction.
Something that would finally settle all the questions that have been living in the back of my mind.
But maybe the deeper lesson is learning how to live even when certainty has not arrived yet.
Because the truth is, not every story reveals itself on our timeline.
Not every person enters our life with immediate clarity.
And not every unanswered question requires an immediate answer.
Tonight, I find myself growing tired of carrying expectations that have nowhere to rest.
Tired of trying to predict outcomes.
Tired of building conclusions from incomplete information.
Perhaps that is why I am choosing something different.
Not bitterness.
Not resentment.
Not giving up on love.
Simply letting go of the need to know.
Letting go of the need to force an answer before it is ready to be given.
Letting go of the idea that my peace depends on what someone else chooses to do.
If he stays, time will reveal it.
If he leaves, time will reveal that too.
Either way, I do not want to spend my days suspended between hope and fear.
I want to return to my own life.
To my work.
To my friends.
To the people who show up.
To the moments that are already here.
And maybe that is what surrender really looks like.
Not losing hope.
But releasing the burden of carrying the future before it arrives.
So tonight, I am not choosing certainty.
I am choosing peace.
And for now, that feels enough.
