Thirty-nine.
It is a number that has been quietly sitting in the back of my mind.
Not because I am afraid of getting older.
But because I know what I have been praying for.
I am not looking for endless conversations.
I am not looking for temporary attention.
I am not looking for someone to simply make my days a little less lonely.
I am looking for a husband.
A family.
A place where love is not questioned every day, but built together through commitment, kindness, and faith.
Perhaps that is why uncertainty feels heavier now than it did years ago.
When I was younger, waiting felt easier.
There seemed to be plenty of time.
Today, I find myself asking a different question.
How long should I keep waiting?
Not because I want to rush God’s timing.
But because I also want to be honest with myself.
My time matters.
My heart matters.
My future matters.
I have learned that love should not require one person to carry the entire weight of a relationship.
It should not always be one person initiating the conversation, reaching out, wondering, hoping, and waiting.
Love may require patience.
But it should also involve two people who are willing to move toward each other.
Tonight, I do not have all the answers.
I still do not know how this story will end.
Perhaps it will become something beautiful.
Perhaps it will become a lesson I will one day be grateful for.
Only Allah knows.
For now, I choose not to chase certainty.
But I also choose not to lose myself in endless waiting.
If someone is meant to walk beside me, I pray that he will also choose to take steps toward me.
Because I am no longer looking for possibilities.
I am looking for a partnership.
And maybe that is not asking for too much.
Maybe that is simply knowing what my heart has been praying for all along.
“I don’t know how this story will end. But I don’t need to know everything today.”
